Cover up that helmet hair when you're off the bike and look great, too! These sporty caps are made from 100% washed cotton, with a cinch strap closure on the back.
I love promoting Adventure Cycling and this hat does it well for me... I even sneak it under my helmet some days to give myself a nice sunshade... Under Armour makes the softest hat I've come by in this same style, and so I alternate between their hat and my ACA hat...
The Only Hat I Wear

The ACA logo caps that I earned as a tour leader were getting a little grungy, so naturally I had to get one of these. It fits great, and I'm proud to display my affiliation with the world's greatest cycling organization.

The dome needs to have a little more room in it. I put the hat on when I take my helmet off to protect my bald head from the sun. The hat clings to my head, so it doesn't help to cool me off. Somewhere, somebody-- I don't know-- Tommy What's-His-Name, decided that the 1935 Babe Ruth little dome hat would be the "style" for the next few years. And we all know how important style is over function. It's a shame, though, because it's more utile than the trucker style hat. You can stuff it into your daypack and not worry about its losing its shape. A couple of square inches more would do the trick, but sorry; that ain't what's in style.
Great Cap

Wore out the last one after 2 years of daily use. Had to order another one. Nice, comfortable cap and an adventure cycling conversation starter all in one!
Favorite Hat

In 2010 as I rode self-supported across the US on the TransAm route, I knew I couldn't do it without the support of my husband Dennis in Seattle. So when I passed through Missoula and stopped at the ACA headquarters, I bought him this hat. It became his favorite, and after eight years of wear and tear, it became his "holy hat", (as in, many holes in it!) so this year I bought him a new one, and thanked him again for his support when I did the ride. He loves how soft and comfortable it is, and wears it often.

A baseball cap for a bicyclist would necessarily have to take a lot of punishment. Taking off your helmet and popping this onto your sweaty head and then stuffing it into your daypack once the ride resumes, you can see where this cap would get a lot of wear and tear. Thin enough to be cool, thick enough to stand up to the abuse, I wish all products delivered the goods the way this one does. Looks good, holds its shape. does the job perfectly.

It is blue. It is soft. It is thin enough to be cool(ish) on a summer day. Exactly what I was wanting.
A Bit Disappointing

The hat is very thin and has little structure. They must have changed from heavy cotton to the current model when they upped the price a few years ago. I have a big head and while this "fits", it's like wearing a beanie with a brim. I have to put a business card in the front to have the logo stand up a bit. (Reminds me of putting baseball cards in my hat when I played little league many years ago.)

Great hat. It fits well, and has a good shape to the bill (not too flat, not too curved). I bought it to replace my husband's well-loved but rather "tired" RAGBRAI hat and he couldn't be happier.
Nice hat

One size fits all. Nicely proportioned. Light color looks good and doesn't show the travel dirt when strapped on the back of the bicycle.

Well-made, thick cotton hat. Good embroidery, too. All at a fair price. Now my everyday hat—and it'll be coming on the cross-country trip this summer, natch!
