This is the second pair that I have bought the first was to replace older front bags to use for over night and inn to inn weekend tours and they have worked great a little bigger then my old front bags
bought these to use on rear for 5 day inn to inn tour to hold my wife and my stuff and they worked great,
holds three days of on bike or off bike clothes with no problem, we ride 3 days at a time and rest/regroup 1 day
for those of you are worried about bungie you can adjust it by shorting it with a knot and I always use a second restraint any way, also using a liner bag is a good idea if chance of rain
these worked great for me and quality is better then the price

I was pretty impressed by these panniers. I bought these to replace my Ortlieb set and was looking for a lightweight set to replace them.
Pros:
Cheap!
TONS of space. Really easy to pack gear into these. I can even fit my tent in a pannier.
Pockets are nice, and zippered section is great.
Cons:
Not waterproof, but adding some covers will alleviate that issue.
Mounting system isn't as robust as other Arkel bags. I added some gorrilla tape to my Tubus rack at the mounting points to allow these to sit properly, and had to purchase the tubus adapter to allow the hooks to catch on to the rack.
Good job

I had these for at least 5 years and they do the job for the price. Big enough for the grocery or to go to work. My 15'' laptop fits inside with all my clothing and accessories. No issue with the attachment system.

These panniers don't have a reliable attachment system to fit on a rack - just the hooks and a loose bungee hook at the base. What this meant was that at any slight bump in paved roads, they inched off the rack and at some points I had to keep reaching down to push them back on. Eventually had to rig up a rope system to tie them on securely. Am replacing them with an Ortlieb or something similar with a more secure connection. Best thing I can say is that they were roomy, and when filled to absolute capacity they were sturdier, but was still glad I had them tied on for additional security. Not waterproof (although it doesn't claim to be), so definitely line with plastic if expecting rain.
