Clever new product: MAP

October 24, 2013

Upon my return from a fantastic North American Cartographic Information Society (NACIS) meeting, I found a link to a product video in my Inbox for something called MAP. Feeling a little overwhelmed by all that I took in while at that meeting in Greenville, South Carolina, I hesitated to click on it. Boy, am I glad I did!

This product is ingenious! I think everyone should have one (or two, or three, or twelve!). It is compact, lightweight, perfectly suited to almost any environment, and needs no batteries. I encourage you to take a few minutes to see what I'm talking about and click on the video below.

After you've taken in that demo, I suggest you view a video on Adventure Cycling's version of this incredible product — the Adventure Cycling Route Network maps. They include all the features mentioned above and more!

Viva la MAP!

GEOPOINTS BULLETIN is written by Jennifer 'Jenn' Milyko, an Adventure Cycling cartographer, and appears weekly, highlighting curious facts, figures, and persons from the Adventure Cycling Route Network with tips and hints for personal route creation thrown in for good measure. She also wants to remind you that map corrections and comments are always welcome via the online Map Correction Form.
