These are perfect for attaching water bottle cages to the uprights on my Lightfoot Recumbent. I've been wanting two brackets for the cages and this filled the bill.

This product is not suitable for the applications listed. I mounted it on the rear seat tube on our Santana Tandem for my wife. The original lateral cage mounts were taken up by the battery when adding electric assist. It is way too flexible at the mounting point between the two product pieces. It flexes so much you cannot insert or remove a water bottle from the mounted cage without using two hands. That is dangerous when you are moving. The purpose is to be able to drink one handed on the go. That is not possible with this product in a seat tube location. I wish I had ordered a product with two mounting points instead of just one as this product has.
