Wine of the People

August 4, 2017

I love the little encounters — the brief windows into other people’s lives that you get to access on a bike trip.

There are few countries as beautiful and accessible to bike touring as Portugal. Although it’s roughly the size of the state of Indiana, we spent two and a half months pedaling there. That kind of time frame allows you to see the nooks and crannies of a country — to explore the tiny roads you’d often overlook in a shorter tour.

If the photos below intrigue you, take the time to listen to this short audio story behind them. Then start planning a trip to this cycling paradise.
