Thank you for participating in or supporting the inaugural National Bike Travel Weekend. Over 900 trips and 11,900 people participated, forming a strong foundation to make this an annual event. Check out photos from National Bike Travel Weekend on Adventure Cycling's Flickr album. Continue to share your photos with #biketravelweekend and save the date for Bike Travel Weekend in 2017: June 2-4, 2017.
Have fun clicking on the icons on the map below (or the state-alphabetized list) for detailed descriptions of two types of do-it-yourself bike overnight trips: Public and Not Public. The organizers of Public bike overnights invite you to contact them by email, discuss the trip, and perhaps join their adventure. Organizers of Not Public trips are just as friendly, but for various reasons are not currently seeking participants from the general public. They've listed their bike overnights so that you can get some ideas, inspiration, and perhaps organize your own trip for this very special weekend.
902 registered National Bike Travel Weekend trips with 11,908 participants.
