West Coast of Ireland

I’m planning a three-four week trip along Ireland’s gorgeous west, southwest and northwest coasts sometime between April and July of 2027 depending on B&B availability. I’ve got extensive experience cycling in Ireland and would love to share it with someone who’s never been there. Flying Dulles-Shannon. Starting and ending in Doolin, Co. Clare. Leisurely 40 miles a day, choosing our routes as we go. Ireland’s quiet, lightly-traveled back roads are ideal for cycle touring. Cool mornings and nights. Near-daily, on-and-off rain with sunshine – sometimes. Europe’s friendliest people, superb B&Bs, good food and beer and trad music in the pubs at night. We’ll take a few trains and a ferry to an off-shore island or two. Seeking a convivial travel partner (M/F 35+) who enjoys good conversation, wit, jokes and puns, mingling with the locals, visiting prehistoric sites, natural wonders and cultural attractions and making all the requisite tea, pastry and hot soup stops along the way.
