Return & Exchange Policy

Adventure Cycling primarily sells two types of items: branded merchandise and routes. We have different policies for these two types of items. Please read carefully.

Branded Merchandise Return Policy

We are not able to process or accept returns or exchanges on branded apparel and merchandise.

For all branded apparel and merchandise, we use a third-party print-on-demand service to fulfill every order. This means these products are made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction.

However, this also means that we are not able to accept returns or exchanges on these items unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or there is a production error. We do not exchange apparel for different sizes or accept returns for sizing issues. Please review all product descriptions, sizing charts, and specifications carefully before ordering to ensure you select the correct item and size.

If your item arrives damaged or defective or fails to arrive:

  • Or call us, Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM MST — 1-800-721-8719
  • Do not mail the item back to us.
  • Take and send us photos of the damage on the item and the packaging it arrived in.

Routes Return Policy

We fulfill every paper map sale in-house. That means we put it in the mail and ship it to you. Every digital route is fulfilled via email. You’ll get a link to access your digital route as an email.

If a route purchased from our store does not meet your expectations, you may return it within 30 days of receipt, provided it is in new and unused condition with all original packaging.

  • The customer must pay shipping costs to return items to Cyclosource.
  • We do not refund original shipping costs.
  • Items with damaged or missing packaging materials are not eligible for return.
  • Upon arrival back at our office, we will replace it or refund the purchase to your original payment method.
    • Exceptions:
      • Sale and clearance products are not eligible for return or exchange.
      • Maps purchased in a set may not be returned as singles.

Routes Return Instructions

  • Using a sturdy box or tear-proof shipping bag, return the package via insured and tracked US-Mail or other Parcel Carrier of your choice.
  • We do not offer pre paid return labels. Shipping costs to return an item are paid for by the customer.
  • Include the original invoice and enclose it with the merchandise along with any tags and packaging.
  • If you do not have your packing slip, please include a note stating the purchaser’s name, address, and if possible, order number. To help with contact, please include a daytime phone number or email address.
  • Send returns to Adventure Cycling Returns, 150 E Pine St, Missoula MT 59802. Note: We do not accept CODs.
  • Keep a tracking number/record of your shipment until you have received your refund.

Additional Information

If we made a packing error, we will pay for return shipping (via ground carriers only) and the replacement shipping to you.

No returns or exchanges on clearance or sale items.
