Looking for good natured, resilient companions for a bike tour, departing Portland, Oregon August 23 for SF, during the MADE Bike Show. The first day of riding is the most demanding, starting at the Hillsboro Max lite rail station, crossing the Coast Range on a mix of gravel and paved roads to Tillamook (and Cape Lookout campground.) From there the route meets up with the ACA for the Oregon coast and Northern California. I am 62, married, this will be my 3rd tour in a year. Each of those were a week, this is double, which is a bit intimidating (rest days?) Looking for some friendly people to share the experience.

I have studied the route and planned for days with about 4000’ of elevation gain which equals distances of 50-70 miles. With a shorter day every few days to aid recovery, do laundry, linger. None of this is fixed, looking forward to refining the plan with other’s ideas.
