I’m a 60 YO married grandfather, am an experienced bicycle tourist, and will be arriving in Seattle area late Aug. to celebrate a birthday with family. My start will be from Seattle or Victoria, and I intend to ride at least to San Fran… Maybe all the way. Start date is flexible by a few days.

I am most comfortable with 50-60mi per day, but can do more (or less) if the situation warrants it. I will be mostly camping, with motels and hostels in the mix. Pace will be more casual than aggressive. Off days will be taken when needed or desired.

I did most of the Pacific Coast route in sections several years ago when I was still working. One section that I am going to slow down and savor is NorCal coast. I am greatly looking forward to camping in the Redwoods again!
