Mid-March start from Cape St. Vincent, Portugal to Teruel, Spain. The route is about 860 miles (18 days) from the southernmost point in Europe thru southern Portugal and the Andalucia region of Spain. The winter rains should have ended, the wildflowers should be in bloom and the scenery and small villages highlight Portugal and Spain at their best. Fly to Faro, Portugal, and put your bike together at one of the two bike workstations in the airport (they are serious about biking in this part of Portugal). We’ll take the train from Faro to Lagos and start by riding to Cape St. Vincent. From there we ride thru Portugal and Spain to Teruel. A train from there to Madrid and a flight home.
