Hi there! I’m a recently retired woman from Vancouver, Canada, and I’m planning a northbound bikepacking trip along the ACA Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR), starting in New Mexico and finishing in Banff, Alberta. My planned departure is June 2026.
I’ll be camping as much as possible, with occasional stays in hotels or with Warm Showers hosts. I’ve been cycling for over 20 years, and last summer I completed a modified section of the GDMBR (Banff to Fernie), followed by the BC Epic 1000 (Fernie to Kelowna).
I’m aiming to average around 50 miles (80 km) per day, give or take 10 miles, with a rest day roughly once a week. This is a tour, not a race — I’m in it for the journey and the experience.
I’m easygoing, open to ideas, and would love to connect with like-minded riders to share this adventure. All ages and genders are welcome!
