I’d like to find companions for a self-supported bikepacking trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town via Lesotho. I’m a 56-year-old cyclist from London (originally from SA) who enjoys long-distance touring, camping and exploring rather than racing. I expect to cover around 80–120 km per day, depending on the terrain and weather.
I’m looking for someone reliable, easy-going and adaptable, with a good sense of humour and an appreciation for adventure. I’m ideally looking for a male companion, as I think it will make camping and logistics simpler, but I’m open-minded and happy to hear from anyone who shares a similar touring philosophy.
Whether you’d like to ride the entire route or just a section, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good fit for the adventure.
