Oregon Outback Guide

I just rode the Oregon Outback mid-June with 4 other riders I met through this same forum. If you’re looking for a “guide” of sorts to tag along with you this summer/fall, you won’t have to worry so much about knowing all the ride logistics (e.g. navigation glitches, campsites, the few water and refueling spots, equipment/packing tips, etc.), so you can enjoy the amazing scenery a bit more!
Three of us finished the route in 7.5 days. The two other riders had never been bikepacking before. They said I did a good job helping them successfully complete their first adventure, so I figure maybe I could help others along the way too.
I’m almost 57 and am fine with any pace. I’d recommend planning on 4 (brisk) to 8 (leisurely) days to complete the route depending on your schedule and fitness level. I completed nearly a dozen bikepacking trips here in the PNW the past several years, most of which have been gravel/trail. Happy to at least chat if you have any thoughts or questions!
