Designed to block up to 80% of wind noise while riding your bike (ACA's opinion is product blocks +/- up to 50% of wind noise). Unlike ear plugs and headphones, Wind-Blox only blocks the wind noise, allowing you to hear approaching traffic, nature and fellow cyclists. Black. Sold as a pair. Two sizes:
Wind Blox Pro L - 2cm. x 10cm
Wind Blox Pro XL - 3cm x 11cm
Please note, product is not elligible for return if it has been used.
Easy to install, but hard to maintain the apparent "correct" position. Even in the correct position the effect is barely noticeable. It was a waste of time and money

I have some Cat Ears that look a little silly, so I was looking for something a little more streamlined. Unfortunately these were too long and too stiff to be comfortable. I trimmed the length first, but that didn’t help the overall pressure against my jaw and temples while wearing glasses. I couldn’t tolerate them through one ride, and they went in the trash.
Too long for most helmets

I have a large head, but with properly positioned helmet straps these were too long for me (and I suspect most others). Wind Blox makes a "Classic" version that is about 1/2 as long and would work much better. Before ordering, measure the distance along the front strap between the bottom edge of the helmet and where it joins the back strap. If it's not more than 10 cm/4 inches, these won't work for you.

Difficult to position, marginal if any effectiveness, and impinges on the temples of my sunglasses requiring them to be constantly adjusted. I might keep playing with them, but for now have found it more convenient to leave them at home.
Sort of works...

Finally had a chance to put these Wind Blox to the test yesterday. Verdict? Maybe reduced wind noise 50%. There was still definitely wind noise so I played with them while riding, twisting them a bit, pressing them more firmly against the sides of my head - but there was always some noise. I wore sunglasses without too much discomfort although they get in the way some of taking the glasses on and off. I was careful to install them exactly as instructed and will play more with small adjustments but, there's no question that these do not eliminate wind noise while riding.
Good quality & good idea, but will require tweaking to be effective

The Wind Blox Pro is a quality product, but like several others have mentioned, it does not work well with glasses. I did find some potential wind noise improvement by placing my finger upon the outside edge of the Wind Blox. This both pressed the Wind Blox tighter to my jaw and effectively increased the thickness of the Wind Blox. My helmet straps are so tight they have become uncomfortable in order to keep the Wind Blox tight against my jaw.
I’ll be experimenting with tweaks. Maybe more to report later.

Block about 75% of wind noise, I'm going to order another pair in case something happens to the ones I just bought (like sweat). Size is a bit on the large size as other reviewers have noted, but these things work!

My wife and I ride a tandem. Before the Wind Blox, hearing and understanding each other at 15 mi/hr was impossible. Now we can talk at a normal level at 20 mi/hr comfortably. Sure, there is still some wind noise, but it is greatly reduced.

I've been using these for a couple of weeks now. I can't hear a difference in wind noise, although I might experiment with one on and one off, just to see if there is a difference between the two sides. In addition to seeming nearly useless, they make the helmet strap less comfortable, they prevent cycling sunglasses from being outside the strap and prevent the glasses from going on easily if you are already wearing the helmet, and they are definitely too long, even though they are the smaller size. I'll revisit this review if continuing use persuades me to change my mind about all this.

At age 73 my hearing has diminished somewhat. I ride on the street a fair amount so like to hear what is going on around me. I strongly believe that I am able to hear more with the wind blockers on my helmet straps. I will continue to use them.

I'd estimate they cut wind noise by about 75%, which increases riding pleasure and safety (I can better hear cars approaching from the rear). The only size choices are large and extra-large, however. I wear a small helmet and think a medium size would fit better. I'm currently folding over the bottom seam, but I'll probably cut them down to make them fit better. It would be nice to just buy the size I need. Unless you're as big as a typical American male or larger (that would be 5'8" tall), I suggest buying the smallest size available.

I tried these and noticed a difference right away. As the instructions mention, the noise reduction is not appreciated until one takes the wind blox off. My husband also tried them, and he liked them so much he had me order some for him. Wearing sunglasses with these on the helmet straps makes for a snug fit, and could be uncomfortable after a long ride, but I am happy with them.
Agreed--a modest improvement.

They cut some noise, though 80% is wildly optimistic. They were a bit too long, even though I ordered the smaller size. I like them enough, however, that I'll continue to wear them, though I might shorten them a bit to fit my smaller face.

Maybe my head's shaped funny, but the only way I can hear the sounds of 80-ish% wind noise reduction is by manually pulling my chin strap down. But I like two hands on my bars. Alternatively, I could cinch my helmet straps so tight that I'd worry about breathing or brain circulation. Maybe I should trim a bit off the XL sized product I bought. Still experimenting. A user manual, even a tiny one, might have been helpful.

These have a better appearance than the fuzzy type and do reduce the wind noise, particularly in stiff headwinds. However, for my medium sized Specialized helmet they were a bit too long to fit well and there is no adjustment to that part of the strap. Also, it was not possible to readily put on Oakley style glasses over the set up. Thus, the glasses needed to go on first and beneath the cinch down mechanism. Any ride over 40 miles resulted in discomfort by the squeeze on the glass stems.

The XL size fills the entire gap between my strap and cheek, from my helmet to my chin. They block airflow and reduce some noise. The reduction is more than I get with just a fleece hat, but nothing compared to ear plugs. "Designed to block 80% of wind noise" seems like a blow-hard claim... Most of the time, I don't really notice the Wind-Blox pressing against my cheeks, but I've only worn them in cold weather and mostly with a hat. They are very nicely made. They are better than nothing, but not the difference I was hoping for.

I purchased these after using the "cat-ears" classics for the past year. My experience with the "cat-ears" are that they work very well at blocking wind noise, are comfortable, work well in all conditions. However, they look funny, like having ear muffs or speakers on your ears, to every one looking at you. I tried these "wind-blow pro" because they are less noticeable. However, what I have found is that they are a little too long and bump up at the helmet when attached to the helmet strap which can cause a bit of irritation. As for the noise dampening they do not provide the same level of noise reduction found in the "cat-ears," but they do reduce noise as compared to riding without. I might have been better if they had them in sizes or maybe I will cut mine down by an inch and see how that works.
