USBR 66 follows a bike-friendly version of Historic Route 66, connecting Missouri to Oklahoma. The USBR 66 segment through Kansas connects three small towns: Galena, Riverton, and Baxter Springs.
USBR 76 mostly follows the Adventure Cycling TransAmerica Trail through rolling pastures, hills, and towns of all sizes. The route begins near Girard and leaves the state just past Tribune on its way to Colorado. Cyclists can visit the Flint Hills, the Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center, and the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge along the way.
