If you are planning a bike tour, be sure to get the most recent map updates and corrections for your route by selecting the route, and the appropriate section(s), from the drop-down menu below.
Over time maps become less useful because things change. Every year Adventure Cycling's Routes and Mapping Department create map updates and corrections for every map in the Adventure Cycling Route Network, which now totals 50,527 miles. With the help of touring cyclists like you, we receive updates on routing, services, camping, and contact information. Until we can reprint the map with the new information, we verify the suggested changes and publish corrections and updates here on our website.
If you have updates or corrections for a map, please submit them through our online Map Correction Form.
NOTE: Map updates and corrections only pertain to long term changes and updates. For short term road closures, please see the Adventure Cycling's Routes Temporary Road Closures discussion in our Forums.
We have one or more versions of this map in our system. Match the BC number and print year on your map's cover to the links shown below for the most current Map Updates and Corrections. The print year is located in the lower right corner of the cover. To update an older map version, you must download ALL newer Map Updates and Corrections (addenda) for maps subsequent to yours.
Map Updates and Corrections (Addenda) are shown for a map's previous three versions. If your map is dated earlier than the listed versions we recommend purchasing a new map so you are current with all the service changes and other updates.
In June 2018, new Great Divide Mountain Bike Route maps were published. Endpoints changed for Sections 1-6 and new routing was added north of Banff to Jasper. If you have maps dated earlier than 2018 you will need to refer to the map sections before and/or after to update your map. You can see the new endpoints on our Great Divide Mountain Bike Route page or by viewing this image.
The BC number and year on your map's cover should match the BC number and year listed here.

(May 2022) Logging activity is occurring along a 23-mile stretch in the Swan River State Forest. It began in 2019 and is scheduled to last through 2022. There will be heavy logging traffic and they expect 20-30 trucks coming through daily.
We highly recommend the following detour. Southbound it begins at [F] and rejoins the route at [K]. Though the existing route will be open, State Forest personnel want to minimize any potential conflicts between cyclists and truck traffic. The detour takes cyclists along unpaved roads on the east side of SR 83. It includes a total of 4.8 mi. of riding on SR 83. You can view the detour here: ridewithgps.com/routes/29920687
If you have purchased the digital data, the above detour is called "GD01SAlt_D19_2022" for southbound travel and "GD01NAlt_D19_2022" for northbound travel. It is named by the southbound file in the Bicycle Route Navigator app.
