Summary: A reunion of our Bikecentennial 76 group in Virginia inspired me to re-cycle part of the TransAmerica Trail.; Self-Planned

How did ACA Help? The idea of the ride was a celebration of a cross-country Bikecentennial 76 ride. I used both contemporary maps of the TransAmerica Trail and the original 1976 maps.

Health Issues: none

Motivation: Fond memories of our Bikecentennial group and the beautiful scenery of Virginia and Kentucky.

Most Challenging Aspect:The exorbitant cost of flying with a bicycle in the USA.

Favorite Experience: Our Bikecentennial 76 reunion. Out of 12 riders, 10 of us made it to the reunion 31 years later!

Least Favorite: Those &%$**@ dogs that go after cyclists on the roads of eastern Kentucky.

Tips: The TransAmerica Trail is as great to ride on the second visit as the first.
