Summary: Two of us used Bikecentennial maps to do the Northern Tier route from Maine to Washington.; Self-Planned

How did ACA Help? N.T. map set.

Health Issues: My partner had an achilles tendon problem that was treated successfully with a shot of cortisone.

Motivation: Enjoy bike riding, wanted a big challenge, and heard about a heart transplant patient who rode from NC to CA for his annual checkup. (If he could, so can I!)

Most Challenging Aspect:Getting up day after day after day and putting in the miles.

Favorite Experience: Cruising endless miles in ND with a tailwind.

Least Favorite: Brutal headwinds around Cut Bank, MT.

Tips: It's far more mental than physical. If you REALLY want to, you can. (I'm no jock!)
