Motivation: Just graduated high school. Wanted to get out of Dayton, Ohio, and see the United States.
Most Challenging Aspect:I was so young and had so much to learn about so many things.
Favorite Experience: Turning the corner and seeing the Grand Tetons for the first time. Breathtaking.
Least Favorite: Leaving my rain jacket behind in Mitchell, Oregon. After that, I figured out a better system. I have to say the trip was a learning experience for me on many levels.
Tips: I am hardly the first to say that life is an adventure. This trip opened my eyes in many, many ways, and more than 30 years later, I remain profoundly grateful.
