Summary: Fantastic trip, great people - all from USA except me - the lone Canadian. Still cycling, now with my daughter. Would love to reconnect with fellow riders.; Commercial Trip
Health Issues: Sickness from drinking water that wasn't clean. Pretty tempting when the streams looked so clean in Idaho.
Motivation: My mother - she read about it in a Popular Science Magazine in 1977. Woke me up to tell me I should do it.
Most Challenging Aspect:Riding in Montana in the rain, headwind and not making any progress even going down hill!
Favorite Experience: Getting to know so many great people, personal accomplishment - completing the ride.
Least Favorite: Nothing - I have all great memories.
Tips: Do it! - set yourself a goal and complete it. Remember touring is not a competition - take your time and take it all in.
