Summary: Great memories. It is a shame that our group have lost touch with each other. Now that 30 years has past we really should try to reconnect! ; Commercial Trip

How did ACA Help? It's predessor BikeCentennial organized the tour.

Health Issues: In Kansas had to find a dentist for a toothache and in Missouri one of the team had heat stroke and was hospitalized overnight. And Vinny fell and broke his arm early in week one. I wonder if he ever did another bike trip?

Motivation: Challenge and employment...I was a group leader. I also knew Bonnie & Tim Leifer and they encouraged me to come from Newfoundland to lead a group.

Most Challenging Aspect:Heat & distance & amount of time on the road. Okay let's not forget those winds coming down off the high plateau into Wyoming. Pedalling downhill was a difficult pill to swallow. Ah, those darn assumptions about gravity.

Favorite Experience: The start and finish of each and every day. Kurt, Andy, Peter, Sal, Terry, Tom, Jerry, Dwight.... Anyone remember the guy we met in the pie cafe of Wisdom, Montana who was walking from Mexico to Canada as we bicycled from Atlantic to Pacific. A unique conversation ensued.

Least Favorite: It all seems good from 30 years away!

Tips: Enjoy the journey! Carpe diem! If you can't get out of it..get right into it!
