Summary: The best trip I ever took in my life. Even up to now and I travel the world often. I continued riding on my own for another year before going home to Hawaii.; Self-Planned
How did ACA Help? It was a Bikecentennial tour with a leader and Bike Inns set up along the way. No need to camp.
Health Issues: Almost everyone came severe dysentery in Berea, Kentucky.
Motivation: It was a dream of mine from childhood . But I did not know how to go about organizing it. Thanks to Bikecintinnial my dream came ture. And I have never forgotten that trip.
Most Challenging Aspect:The heat in the midwest and the mountains in the east.
Favorite Experience: Meeting, living, and sharing, with people from all over the counrty and experincing the trip together. Note: My groups photo located in ACA History Catogary. I am 2nd from the front on the left.
Least Favorite: Body surffing on asfault after hitting a pothole and changing one flat after another in Kansas due to all the Texas Tack thorns all over the roads.
Tips: Experience all you can in life now, for it is far to short a life to wait and hope that you may one day do it later on, for that day may never come.
