Summary: Rode west to east starting in Portland to Astoria to Yorktown. Third crossing as this time recreated '76 ride. ; Self-Planned

How did ACA Help? I am a life member with Adventure Cycling and was inspired to do a 30th. Anv. revisit of my original ride.

Health Issues: Heat exhaustion by Berea and the high miles day wore on be due to limited time to do ride.

Motivation: I rode to recreate the original crossing and euphoria of the great B '76 ride. I had ridden it in reverse in '02 and felt I missed a lot.

Most Challenging Aspect:I had to ride high miles per day due to limited time. .

Favorite Experience: I enjoyed being on the rode again and seeing the places and people along the Trans-AM. This was my third crossing.

Least Favorite: Harrassement by Centerville, Missouri by close encounters with drivers yelling, blowing horn, buzzing and gestering.

Tips: Anyone even thinking of going - go! Take your time and enjoy even the bad days because when the trip is done, you will have great memories.
