Summary: I was in the Bike-in Group that left Reedsport on 5/28/1976. We were snowed on three times. We paralelled our friends of the great camping group TAWK528. ; Self-Planned
How did ACA Help? I joined up and they assigned me to a group, and gave the starting date and location.
Health Issues: I did get some bad food one evening that kept me up all night honoring the ceramic god.
Motivation: The first time I heard about it, I said "I'm going to do that!"
Most Challenging Aspect:The most challenging part was just getting my bike and me to the start.
Favorite Experience: I was stopped on top of a mountain pass in Oregon after riding one week, when an independent rider from Holland looked at his map, looked around, looked back at his map, and said to me " You know............This is a BIIIIIIIIG country!"
Least Favorite: I didn't particulary like the gravel roads. We usually tried to find ways around those stretches.
Tips: It was a great experience, thanks to Bikecentennial!
