Summary: Self-Planned

How did ACA Help? Leaders and maps were provided by Bikecentennial.

Health Issues: I spent my rest day in Missoula sick with the stomach flu. The next day's hilly ride into Idaho was definitely a challenge!

Motivation: I wanted to challenge myself by crossing the country under my own steam and have a chance to really experience our country's diversity.

Most Challenging Aspect:Crossing the Appalachians was the most challenging aspect, partly because for us it was at the beginning of the trip.

Favorite Experience: The best part of the trip was getting to know my fellow group members, as well as the many wonderful people we met along the way.

Least Favorite: Thirty years later, I can't remember any bad experiences!

Tips: Just do it!
