Transam Trio
Zachary Ruttenberg, of Riverwoods, Illinois; Tim Orr, of Redmond, Oregon; and Sean Claughton of Bend Oregon teamed up in the summer of 2006 to cross America on the TransAm Trail.
Tim told us, “The TransAm is my best experience yet. I can’t imagine a better way to see the country and gain a realization of how small I am in this world. It was perfect to start touring in my home country, but now I am addicted. I feel like I want to see the whole world and by bicycle is the best way. Locals are almost always willing to help if they know what you are doing. I feel like anyone could do it. People need to get out of the office and see something for themselves.”
