Sea to Corvallis via forest roads. Some gravel. No singletrack. 60 miles, 6000'. Start mid-day Friday. Camp at Big Elk CG (small fee for hiker-biker site). Plan A: Finish Saturday afternoon. Plan B: Add a summit climb and spend Saturday night on Marys Peak. We can decide to execute Plan B on Saturday afternoon if we're feeling strong and the weather is smiling on us. There's lots of climbing, but plenty of time.
If you're nimble on a gravel bike, that will probably be ok. A mountain bike set up for bikepacking is probably ideal. I'm riding a 29+ truck with panniers. There are rugged sections of gravel. A surprising amount is paved.
Email me with any questions or if you'd like a gpx file of the route.
