We are riding the Ohio to Erie trail. Starting in Cleveland Ohio. We will be shuttling to Cleveland from our home in Circleville Ohio for the start at Edgewater Park in Cleveland. The Ohio to Erie trail is 85% complete. It starts in Cleveland and goes diagonally across the state to Cincinnati Ohio. Only about 15% of trail is on public roads (per www.ohiotoerietrail.org). We have ridden sections of this trail but not the whole trail at once. The trail is 326 miles in length. Easy riding mostly on pavement. Parts of the northern section are along the Cuyahoga Towpath trail which is crushed limestone. We plan to stay in hotels. Most of the campgrounds are primitive, so we opted for hotels on this trip. There are no costs to ride any sections of the trail. We are excited to discover how they have linked all of these trails. The trail goes through many larger cities so finding lodging is not difficult.
