Greenbriar to Vaughn Woods State Park For All Ability Levels

Ride Description

Free community bicycle ride to Vaughan Woods State Park for all ability levels. Parents with children are welcome. Meet 10:30 AM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the intersection of Greenbriar and DC Drives in Eliot. We will conduct an ABC Quick Check of bicycles and riders (Air, Brakes, Chain, Helmet + Mask) before departing. The route will take us along US Bike Route 1, a paved road with some rolling hills. Good shoulders along a section with traffic (Rt 236 & 101). Vaughan Woods is a 250-acre forested tract along the scenic Salmon Falls River with picnic facilities and hiking trails through old growth stands of pine and hemlock. After a short break at Vaughan we will return along the same route to Greenbriar. Riders that want to stay at Vaughan or return on a different route are welcome to do so. Total round-trip mileage is 9.5 miles. All ability levels invited. Let's Ride Safely! Tomas
