The Parks, Peaks and Prairies ride challenge runs through December 31. Sign up at resport.io/ppp and enjoy your ride!
Save the dates for Bike Travel Weekend, June 4 – 6, 2021, and Bike Your Park Day, September 25, 2021.
This will be an open ended, choose your own adventure type of ride!
Do a short loop of 30 or the full for 50+;
Ride solo or ride in a small group;
Race the loop in the morning or make a day of it.
The ride around Lake Washington is on paved trails/roads, expect ~2000 ft of elevation gain for the whole loop.
Depending on how many folks sign up, I can help to organize small pods. If that is of interest, send along information on preference for start area, avg riding speed, distance preferred, etc. Also feel free to self-organize your own group and use this to motivate folks
As for me, I am thinking about starting around 520/UW heading clockwise to Kenmore, climbing up Juanita, down through Kirkland, over through Medina, maybe making a baked goods stop in Bellevue, heading south and around Renton, then heading north and east up through Beacon hill for a refreshment, then heading towards Lake Union for another refreshment and looping back toward UW/520 to finish the loop proper.
Registration for this event is currently closed. Check back soon for the launch of Bicycle Travel Weekend for 2021!
