Irvine, California - Oceanside / Canyon Loop / Irvine Park

Start Location
Irvine, California

Ride Description

Friday, September 25, We will bike south through the towns of Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente, and Camp Pendleton to the City of Oceanside. From there we will take the afternoon train home to Irvine, CA

Saturday, September 26, We will load the bikes up with our touring gear and head out to do a loop in Santiago Canyon. The loop goes through Irvine, Tustin, the back country of Lake Forest, and returns back to Irvine. Once we are back home we will set up camp in our backyard, cook, relax, and spend the night. We are doing this because all the campgrounds in southern California are already booked. Because of Covid we do not want to spend the night in a hotel. So, the backyard is good

For Ride the Park Day we will ride round trip from our home in Irvine, California to Irvine Regional Park. It's a wonderful park with many bike trails, both paved and off road.
