Save the dates for Bike Travel Weekend, June 4 – 6, 2021, and Bike Your Park Day, September 25, 2021.
We will start 10AM from NEOC (Twin Pines). Park right across from the restaurant lodge in the back parking lot. We will bike to Togue Gate of the Baxter State Park and bike the Tote road to Nesowadnehunk Campsite.
Second day we will complete the traverse of BSP and enter Katahdin Woods, bike to Lunksoos campsite.
Third Day we will traverse gravel road and enter second section of Katahdin Woods and Waters, bike through all the way back to New England Outdoor Center via Rogers road and Huber road.
For experienced bike packers only. Gravel, rough gravel, remote wilderness. Primitive camping. No amenities. Come self sufficiently equipped per Adventure Cycling guidelines (https://www.adventurecycling.org/resources/btw-bypd/covid-19-event-guidelines/) - Ride self-contained, and bring everything you need, including your food, mask, and hand sanitizer. If your ride is an overnight adventure, limit your interaction with others at your campsite.
