A Connecticut River Ramble-a Virtual Ride

Ride Description

What Was: Start in Charlestown NH, load up our bikes and ride across the Connecticut River to our campground at Wilgus State Park just 12 short miles from our start.

On Sunday participants may choose to prepare their breakfast in camp or pack up and ride to Windsor for breakfast. We will meet at the Windsor Diner at 10:00 A.M. with bikes loaded up for our return trip. We will cross the Windsor-Cornish Bridge and ride south along the east side of the Connecticut River back to Charlestown.

It is intended for first-time as well as experienced bike tourers. Level of Difficulty is Beginner Plus. Must be comfortable riding on highway shoulder. This organized ride is cancelled due to COVID.

Virtual Ride: Ride a 35.8 mi loop on your own. Start in Charlestown, cross the CT river go to Windsor VT (or camp overnight), cross the CT river on the Windsor-Cornish Covered bridge, ride back south to Charlestown.
