Getting away is hard. Getting away for an entire weekend is worse so, let's try a sub 24 trip to test out all of our dusty gear and get in the swing of things for summer. We will start off at the Granbury square loaded and ready to go. There are lots of options but, most all of them involve rolling hills. We will pick our route to meet the needs of the group and end up at the BRA campground on Lake Granbury. This is a no fee free camping area. We will set up our gear and get to the nearby marina for some yummy food and refreshing beverages. After our thirst and appetite have been satiated we will retire to our bed under the stars. After rising and breaking camp the next day we will enjoy breakfast at one of the local dining establishments in the area before loading our bikes and heading home.
BUT FIRST... Let's not forget, this is Bike travel Weekend. Your assignment for Sunday. If you go anywhere, try to do it by bike. It will be a weekend to remember.
