There are many interesting stops along the way. Two State Parks and many Fishing Access points to the Bitterroot River. The trail is graced by the Sapphire Mountains to the east and the Bitterroot Mountains on the west. This will be a family friendly ride. Beginning at Chief Looking Glass Fishing Access, on the Missoula County line. Travel Friday late afternoon to Stevensville, the first established town in the Montana Territory. Camping. Saturday visit Fort Owen State Park, St. Mary's Mission, Lewis and Clark Park and possibly Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge. Sunday return to Chief Looking Glass FA.
