Adventure Cycling feels the excitement building around the Montana Bicycle Celebration, July 15 – 17 in Missoula, Montana. This area hosts some of the most spectacular beauty in the U.S., as well as some of the best road and mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains.
Are you pondering coming to Montana to experience Big Sky Country and attend the Celebration? Well, consider extending your visit before or after the big weekend to enjoy some awesome riding. Missoula hosts great riding and is located within a few hours of great trails in Idaho, road riding at Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, and mountain biking along the Great Divide. And as you may know, Missoula lies on the TransAmerica Trail.
With two great airports, Missoula International Airport (MSO) or Glacier International Airport (FCA), local car rentals, shuttle service, and the tour planning expertise of Adventure Cycling, it doesn't get much easier.
Gather together friends and family, sign up for one of the following fully supported tours, groups of four or more receive a 20% discount, and enjoy a week of cycling before or after the celebration weekend. Your planning cannot get much easier. Motel options are also available on the tours.
If you are looking for a more intimate ride that includes camping, consider taking a small group tour or a how-to class.
Thousands of cyclists have pedaled the 4,253-mile TransAmerica Trail and will tell you they captured a lifetime’s worth of memories along their tour. For many traveling cyclists who haven’t yet experienced the TransAm, it remains the holy grail of American bicycle tours.
If you're thinking of celebrating 40 years of bicycle touring by taking one of our epic TransAm tours, you can also be a part of the Montana Bicycle Celebration. We have scheduled the following TransAm tours to arrive in Missoula on the weekend of the Montana Bicycle Celebration, July 15 – 17.
You will even ride the new Missoula to Lolo trail as one large group! Be sure to grab tickets to the weekend event if you are on the TransAm and wish to participate in the portions of the event that require admissions. There are lots of free venues as well.
Come to Montana this summer!
