Late Start

October 28, 2016 - Willie Weir blogs for Adventure Cycling.

This is Beth. My wife and I had the honor of spending the day with her last winter at her home in California. She has ridden her bike across the USA not once, not twice, but three times: Transamerica Trail, Northern Tier, and Southern Tier. She has also pedaled down the west and the east coasts.

Now, I’m going to add one more piece of information — the first time she pedaled across the USA ... she celebrated her 65th birthday. She is now 86 years young!

Want to know more? Pick up the October issue of Adventure Cyclist magazine and read my column about Beth titled “Late Start.” If you aren’t already a member, you’re missing out on having a great publication, filled with adventures, routes, tips, and inspiration delivered to your door nine times each year. Without any stats to back me up, I believe that people who receive Adventure Cyclist magazine are 7.8 times more likely to venture out on a bike trip. What are you waiting for?
