February 10, 2016
The temperature is permanently hovering around 25 and you gave up trying to remember the last time you saw the sun. Without a doubt, winter is here.
But a little (or a lot) of snow shouldn’t mean your bike will rest easy on a trainer in the basement. Get out your bar mitts and the studded tires because this Friday, February 12th, is International Winter Bike to Work Day.
Celebrate year-round cycling and join winter commuters around the world as we “commit to the ride.”
We leave you with a biking poem by Missoula cyclist Nate Biehl:
Oh driver,
When you encounter the cyclist
do not despair or become irate.
Instead, whisper quietly,
“Thank you for the parking space.”
