Doesn’t it feel good to get away—to clear your head, stretch your muscles, and make new friends — on a bike? You can do it in 2015, affordably and conveniently, with Adventure Cycling, the largest cycling membership group in North America, offering over 100 Guided Tours.
We offer every kind of bike adventure imaginable — from one week to three months, epic to relaxed, self-supported to fully supported and catered. There’s a huge menu of places to choose from, either close to home or far away — wild Montana or Wyoming, the green Cascades and even greener Vermont, the mighty Sierra Nevada, the lush Wine Country, show-stopping seascapes of Oregon, and much more. (Search and compare our tours.)
You'll share your trip with adults of varying ages and levels of experience. We attract a mix of men and women, including some couples and many riders from overseas and every imaginable occupation is represented in our groups. All share a cooperative spirit and desire to seek adventure with other bicyclists. Another distinguishing feature of our tours is that while Adventure Cycling leaders will provide you with guidance and support, in many ways you will rely on yourself, which in the end will only increase your sense of enjoyment and adventure.
"The camaraderie and the ability to travel at one's own speed when you want to. This has always been a consistent quality of the tours that I have been on. The scenery has always been magnificent. People talk about bicycling Europe which sounds great but the US has so many beautiful spots in which to visit that they are just as fulfilling as the European countries provide." -2015 Tour Participant
Riders find our trips among the most affordable in bike travel. Our tours feature experienced leaders, attract wonderful people, have an intimate feel, and leave you feeling refreshed — ready to face the world or another bike trip!
"I enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The group was fantastic, the staff very knowledgeable, helpful, and organized. Days on the bike were great, and even the off-bike activities helped the group bond — so much so, I just wanted the trip to keep on going, all the way to Mexico!"-2014 Tour Participant
