Whether your bike travel route is mountainous, hilly, or as flat as a pancake ... you will most certainly ride the roller coaster; the emotional roller coaster.
Bike travel is intense. You don't just see the world, you feel it and smell it and taste it as well.
I've learned to understand and relate to the emotional roller coaster of travel by comparing it to my favorite sport ... baseball.
At least that is how I tried to explain it to my buddy Bob.
