This post is part of a series that spotlights Adventure Cycling's corporate supporters. These companies support our mission and programs and do some cool stuff of their own. We decided to ask them some questions and as a result, have learned a few interesting things about our supporters that we'd like to share with you. The answers below are direct from the companies. We hope that this gives you the chance to get to know them a little better, too.
Adventure Cycling: Tell us a little bit about Le Velo.
Le Velo: We are locals and travel our routes every day. This allows us to take you to bike in the hidden places or back roads, only our local guides know where, mingle with the locals in small villages, enjoy the traditional tea ceremony, picking fruits, tasting wine, chatting with locals, simply enjoying the sights. We do not just design a journey, we create experiences and memories for our guests.
Adventure Cycling: Can you tell us what services or products you provide for bicycle tourists?
Le Velo: We offer a variety of tour opportunities for different levels of cyclists including our classic trip which we call “easy-going” for beginners. Other tours include family trips and our Go Pro or Challenge trips for professional cyclists. In addition, we offer private, customized cycling holidays with very flexible itineraries for individuals or groups. We offer something for everyone.
Adventure Cycling: Why do you support Adventure Cycling through corporate membership?
Le Velo: We are passionate about cycling. We believe that cycling is the best way to explore, experience and enjoy new destinations. We want to contribute and be a part of cycling communities.
Adventure Cycling: What are your favorite cycling-related things right now?
Le Velo: Sustainable growth for economic development and tourism. Contributing to a healthy lifestyle. Going green, protecting the environment and avoiding global warming. The feeling of freedom and joy when we bike. The exciting developments in cycling equipment and accessories.
Adventure Cycling: As your company grows, have you had mainly tailwinds, headwinds, or crosswinds?
Le Velo: Our main tailwinds are our people, our creative team who love cycling very much, our unique positions as locals, our experiences, and our passion. Our headwinds are: global and credit crisis, rising costs, natural disasters, and slow economies.
Adventure Cycling: What cycling-related benefits do you offer your staff?
Le Velo: Our staff members receive free bicycles so that they can commute to and from our office by bicycle.
Adventure Cycling: Is there anything else about your company that you really want to share with our readers?
Le Velo: We hope that you’ll join us to explore the countries in Asia and get a breath of nature with our cycling journeys. We visit deep rural areas where most classic trips don’t reach. The road surfaces can vary along the way from point to point, but you’ll have a great experience on the road with us. Visit our website for more information and to find out the most unique cycling adventures in Asia.
