Check out the 2015 Tours Catalog!

November 18, 2014

Hot off the presses, the 2015 Tours Catalog is here to help you “Dream. Ride. Explore.” Let the planning begin!

Adventure Cycling’s 2015 Tours catalog is full of stunning photos and exceptional tours both new and old. Being wrapped up in the production of the book, I hadn't had a chance to step back and admire the magnificence of the whole book. Now that I have it in my hands I can hardly contain my excitement.

Fifteen percent of Adventure Cycling’s 103 departures in 2015 are new tours! Whether you are a novice on the road or a veteran traveler, there is something here for you.

Are you into epic journeys? The Western Express/TransAm combines some of the most spectacular terrain of the west with the eastern half of Adventure Cycling’s signature TransAm route. This ride begins in San Francisco, traverses the heartland of America and ends in Williamsburg Virginia.

Would you prefer to ride the east coast? The Atlantic Coast van-supported tour introduces the history and sights of the earliest European settlements in the U.S., encourages exploration of battlefields and remnants of the American Revolution and Civil War, and offers opportunities to learn about the history of flight, from the Wright brothers to the space shuttle.

Or perhaps you’d prefer something a bit more remote. The Alaskan Golden Circle self-contained tour takes the rider through spectacular fjords, over alpine landscapes of miniature wildflowers, past glaciers and ice fields in a land of thinly scattered human settlement, rich in history and wildlife.

You could choose the ease of a fully supported tour, like the new Minnesota-Wisconsin Rivers and Trails. Not only are you pampered with scrumptious catered meals and a truck to carry your gear, almost the entire route is on separated bike paths, including the oldest rail-trail in the U.S., the Sparta-Elroy Trail in Wisconsin. Dramatic bluffs and coulees, architectural gems, cheese factories and wineries highlight this beautiful area.

Also new this year are educational tours designed to increase Adventure Cycling’s age and gender diversity. Along with our more traditional introductory road and dirt touring courses, there is a session designed and scheduled especially for those folks under 30, and another specifically for women.

Whatever your dreams for 2015 may be, Adventure Cycling has a tour designed with you in mind. Dream. Ride. Explore. Come travel with us!
