I know that right now there are a lot of good causes and organizations that are requesting your support. And I know that a bicycling organization might not be on your top-10 list charities to support before year-end. But if you're a cyclist, and if you're reading this blog, there's a very good reason to donate to Adventure Cycling this holiday season.
We are almost halfway to our goal of $100,000 for the Holiday Campaign challenge grant. As of this morning, we have raised $41,311. Check out the unique gifts you'll receive when you donate to Adventure Cycling's Holiday Campaign by December 31.
Today, take a deep breath and relax with us on Giving Tuesday. The first three donors today will receive a pair of fleece gloves embroidered with the Adventure Cycling logo.
Please help us meet a challenge grant of $100,000 by December 31 so that we may inspire and empower even more people to travel by bicycle. Learn how your gift will be matched either 1:1 or 2:1 on the Holiday Campaign donation page.
About a year ago, Tours Director Arlen Hall and I began receiving requests from tours participants to sponsor a young person on one of our tours. We are happy today to announce that you may now give to the Youth Touring & Leadership Fund to support a young person who wishes to attend one of our educational tours.
As you may know, Adventure Cycling’s mission is to inspire and empower people to travel by bicycle. Well, last week I was inspired by an amazing group of cyclists when I got the chance to ride my bike from New York City to Washington DC on Climate Ride.
The Adventure Cycling team captain for Climate Ride New York to DC will be, drum roll please….. Julie Huck, our Membership Director! Julie has worked at Adventure Cycling for the past 28 years, so if you’ve stopped by or called to inquire about your membership, there’s a good chance you’ve talked with her.
