There are now only 4 days until Adventure Cycling Association’s second annual Summer Cycling Auction. From June 17 to 21 you will have the opportunity to go to BiddingforGood.com and bid on some awesome and unique bike specific objects. These items were donated by a few great companies and individuals, so all money generated from the auction will benefit Adventure Cycling’s programs and services.
Three of the auction items are featured below. To check out all of the auction items, visit BiddingforGood.com/AdventureCycling and see our other blog posts from June 6 and June 11. Also, don’t forget to register to bid at Bidding for Good so you will be ready to go on Monday when the auction kicks off.
Today we are featuring art pieces for you and your bike!
How much do you love your bicycle? This bicycle cog belt buckle shows the world that your love is more than skin deep. Shane, owner and artist behind the company Skiplink, makes these beautiful belt buckles from reclaimed wood and literally brands the cog into the wood for a great aged look. We think you'll love it! Every part including the back is handmade, right here in the USA!
Value: $60 Opening Bid: $20
We are lucky enough to have two talented artists donating custom headbadges to our auction. As the highest bidder, you can customize your own artistic headbadge for your bicycle.
Laura Crawford of Tangerine Treehouse is offering one custom bicycle headbadge in your choice of sterling silver or copper. You and Laura Crawford will work together through email and sketches to shape your design ideas. When you have found the perfect design, Laura will make your headbadge, by hand, form it to fit your bike, and mail it to you.
Value: $150 Starting Bid: $50
Scott from InsigniaWorks is offering you a custom bicycle head badge (right). Made of brass or nickel, this is a one-of-a-kind etched metal badge for bicycle head tubes. Your name, initials, or slogan can be put on an existing design, or one can be made from your artwork or logo. Scott, a graphic designer, can also create one for you from scratch on the computer.
Remember to register to bid in order to participate in Adventure Cycling's Summer Cycling Auction.
