Adventure Cycling events in Charleston and Savannah

April 24, 2013

Adventure Cycling Association is hosting two special regional gatherings in Charleston, SC, and Savannah, GA, on May 12 and May 16 respectively.

Adventure Cycling Executive Director Jim Sayer will be attending both events as he cycles from Charleston to St. Augustine, Florida, with his daughter on Adventure Cycling tour. Enjoy refreshments, meet kindred cycling spirits, and hear the latest in bike travel and cycling in North America — including Adventure Cycling’s work on Bicycle Route 66, the new Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route, the U.S. Bicycle Route System, and national advocacy.

Charleston:

At the Charleston event, you’ll also hear from Charleston Moves Director Tom Bradford on the progress of the Battery2Beach Route, and Coastal Cyclists’ President Ben Gruber on local riding opportunities.

When: Sunday, May 12 from 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: Granville’s, 730 Rutledge Ave. Charleston, SC

Please RSVP at info@adventurecycling.org or (406) 532-2751 by May 9.

Savannah:

Join Jim and the Savannah Bicycle Campaign at The Creative Coast in downtown Savannah.

When: Thursday, May 16 from 6:30-8:30 pm

Where: The Creative Coast, 15 W. York Street, Savannah, GA

Please RSVP at info@adventurecycling.org or (406) 532-2751 by May 13.

We look forward to seeing you in Charleston or Savannah for food, libations, and short presentations on cycling and cycle tourism in North America!

Are you able to lend a hand? We are looking for a volunteer or two to help with each event by picking up some snacks and beverages and prepping the gathering location. Please contact Beth Petersen at info@adventurecycling.org or (406) 532-2751 if you are interested.
