Pedal to Peebles on the Empire State Trail

Ride Description:

Join us on the Empire State Trail for a bike ride as part of the Hudson River Valley Ramble. The ride will be largely on paved off-road bike path from Albany along the banks of the Hudson River up to Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes. At the park, we will be led on a short hike by members of the Friends of Peebles Island State Park and will be led on a tour of the park which is rich in history. Following lunch (not provided) we will return by bike to Albany.

When: Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM

Where: We will meet at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch at the corner of Colonie and Water Streets underneath I-787. From there we will ride up to Peebles Island State Park at a moderate pace (10-12 mph). The ride is roughly 10.5 miles in each direction for a 21 mile roundtrip.

Cost: No charge; bring your own lunch
