A lariat loop trip that consist of mostly gravel forest roads and a short paved section. No fees unless you are using the campground at East Park Reservoir or the Trout Creek or Colton Draw Guard Station Cabins. The route will begin where forest road 18 turns of US highway 191 about 20 miles north of Vernal, UT. It will follow paved rd 18, past Iron Springs Group Camp (it becomes gravel about 20 miles before Iron Springs), to turn north on forest rd 20 at Trout Creek at 15 miles. We follow rd 20 to East Park Reservoir at 27 miles. (We may take a diversion here to the East Park Campground for a picnic.) At the East Park turnoff we rejoin the Paved road that we started on and returns us to where we started in another 8 miles. We will do this as a day trip. I have already biked just the loop portion of the trip, earlier in the summer.
