Ride Description

Saturday's ride will be a mix of gravel and paved roads (but locating as much gravel and fun as possible). A stop in Mattawa rewards us with amenities such as a bakery with excellent butter tarts. Our stop for the day is at Nature's Harmony Ecolodge. https://naturesharmony.ca/. Sunday's ride is mostly on gravel and ATV roads (many of which are on the VMUTS trail system https://www.vmuts.ca/). Some of it is hard going as there are sections resembling beach sand. These sections can be frustrating so I try to ride on the edge vegetation as much as possible. Exiting the trail system we finish with a hilly, paved back road that leads back to town.
