Bikepacking to Port Townsend

Start Location
Seattle Ferry Terminal
Number of participants
Ride Description

The Quintessential Seattle Bikepacking Experience: Bainbridge to Port Townsend. This includes ferries, an island, state campgrounds, and good ole bike riding.

We will be leaving the Seattle Ferry Terminal on Saturday morning via ferry for Bainbridge Island. The route from Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal to Port Townsend is roughly ~48miles. This route is mostly on hilly roads with some bike trails.

(For those looking for extra miles and in the North Seattle area, I will be leaving from Greenlake and take the long way to the ferry terminal using bike paths ~10miles)

We can likely have a midway break in Port Ludlow or Port Gamble.

Port Townsend's Fort Worden State Park has three first-come-first-served hiker-biker sites. If no sites available, the Jefferson County fairgrounds can be alternatively used.

For dinner you can stock up in town or stop a restaurant.

On Sunday, we will backtrack.

We will be riding partypace or a relaxed pace.
